Tuesday Breakfast

February 10, 2009

Until February 2012 you could listen to our excellent and entertaining radio show  every Tuesday from 7:00 to 10:00 a.m on Ipswich Community Radio.
ICRfm broadcasts on 105.7fm for the Ipswich area or online on  www.icrfm.co.uk.    The ICR website has a ‘listen again’ feature, which gives you the chance to listen to  shows you’ve missed – our interviews were posted there for you to catch up for a week.  Check out the listen again page on this blog to hear some bits from past shows…
Right now we’ve had to give the show a break – but watch this space for more news…

They said it’s all over – it is now…

February 8, 2012

Sad news (for us, anyway)… Graham and Andrew have decided to hang up their headphones and mute their microphones until at soem future date we’ve got the time to get back on the airwaves again.
The simple fact is that we’re both busy men and we’ve just got even busier with our paid jobs  to the point where something’s got to give, and it’s had to be Tuesday Breakfast…
The good news is that
(a) We’re both alive and well
(b) The radio show Tuesday Breakfast will continue on ICRfm with new presenters – when we know who that is we’ll let you know
(c) We’ll continue putting bits on this blog from time to time until we haven’t got anything worth saying any more!
Most of the new posts will be music, I think, so why don’t you toodle off to the music page and have a listen to what we’re listening to at the moment – then at least we won’t have lost you completely..

Rage Movie Unveiled to Captive Audience

October 31, 2011

The Rage movie premiere has finally happened.

Steve (whatever happened to him? You know, tall, good looking chap who used to co-host the world renowned Tuesday Breakfast show) had been working on his movie called Rage for what seemed like an eternity. And now, at last, it is complete. You can watch the Rage film on the 24/7 Interactive News channel.

Steve hosted a premiere of the film at the Riverside Theatre in Woodbridge. Tom Offord, from the Riverside, very kindly allowed Steve to hire out the venue on a beautiful Saturday morning, and the film was screened to cast, crew, friends, family, and an assortment of other interested people.

“Thanks” quipped Steve.

What a guy!

Seriously though, and this is me (Steve) writing this, in case you hadn’t guessed. I had a huge amount of fun making this movie. Lots of people very kindly agreed to appear in it, including Tuesday Breakfast host Graham Cleaver and his lovely wife Diana. Making the film was fun, having everyone together to watch it was just brilliant. Thanks again to everyone. You can see how much of a laugh we had if you watch the film and the outtakes that follow the movie.

Cheers

Steve

AT LAST!!!! New stuff…

June 28, 2011

I was amazed to see that despite our not posting anything new on the Tuesday Breakfast blog since about 1978 we’re still getting a steady stream of visits to the site… thanks, everyone, and sincere apologies for not doing anything to make your visits worthwhile for a very long time.  What can I say?  What excuse can I give? Pressure of work – that’ll do.  Technical problems- that sounds fine… anyway – watch this space for the new, reborn, rebranded  – Tuesday Breakfast Blog!!
STOP PRESS: Listen to us!   I’ve added a couple of ramblings to the listen again page.  More to follow – particularly if we say anything that makes sense
I’ve also added some excellent new music videos to the music page

A new face in the studio…

December 5, 2010

Sadly, due to his meteoric rise into the stratosphere of commerce (etc etc etc), Stephen has had to step aside from Tuesday Breakfast.  In his seat we welcome Andrew BB, who I’m sure will soon be making his presence felt on this blog.  Watch this space for an update on the show (it’s about time we posted something new on here, I hear you say…)

**NEW!!** archive widget…

June 19, 2010

As there’s been a bit of interest recently in our story from over a year ago about Marcus Evans, I thought I’d add an archive bit so people who haven’t got anything better to do can look up things from ages ago…
To check out the story about our mysterious football club owner click on Feb 2009 in the archive.
By the way, he looks like this:

… or does he?

The General Election on ICR

April 7, 2010

The Prime Minister has brought months of waiting to an end. After all the anticipation and build up, the moment that hundreds of journalists have waited for and dreamed about has arrived. A General Election has been called.

As you are reading this, no doubt media bosses and design gurus will be busily creating ever more ludicrous graphical representations to depict swings, trends, polls, and who’s winning the race.

Meanwhile, at Ipswich Community Radio we will be interviewing the people who are looking to represent the town as our officially elected Member of Parliament. The Tuesday and Friday breakfast shows will be interviewing all the candidates in the run up to the election. We will be asking them what they stand for, how they will represent us, and why we should vote for them.

Have you already made up your mind who you will vote for? Is this your first time voting in an election. Do you think it is important to vote, or that your vote counts for anything?

Listen to the Tuesday Breakfast show and hopefully the candidates will be able to answer your questions. You can text us, email us, or telephone us with your questions. Visit the ICR FM website for all the contact details.

The interviews are due to start on Tuesday 13 April.
